Complete illustrated-map goal — handoff specification

> Scenes-450-local completes the authoritative asset-catalog goal (2026-09-14). Pilgrim Path is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r155 as the final of 240 legacy identity replacements. The deterministic hills site is ATLAS-PILGRIM-PATH-014 q16/r27 (x2890/y2308, five connectors, 46 Heroes), with unchanged generated geography. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and September 5-7 style contract: one terrain-first Hero with a low three-stone devotional waystone, faded ochre token and two disconnected wear patches; one nearly flush offering-pebble detail; and identity-free hills ground. Direct and close/regional 1.65/0.845 review passed on the first attempt with exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks, no warnings or image errors, and 10.2/6.5 ms maximum slice/frame. The combined gate passes 22/22 at one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and the final whole catalog suite passes 703/703 at one worker. Final inventory is 243 logical modern Heroes, 292 Hero paintings, 584 companions, 876 active unique paintings, 2,336 placement recipes and 240/240 legacy replacements. No load test ran during the art iteration. Future additive art should use the same style lock, automatic direct/composed review and one-worker validation policy.

> Scenes-449-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Coastal Road is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r154 with corrected terrain-first fields Hero v2, one minute curb-stone detail and one identity-free coastal-meadow ground at ATLAS-COASTAL-ROAD-013 q108/r9 (x10797/y823, four connectors, 45 Heroes). A sequential one-process 40-seed scan found 10 central coast-category fields sites; an actual-family audit selected the first showing both companion layers while preserving geography and the Hero total. Four exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Direct review rejected Hero v1 because its scuffs visually reconnected into one diagonal track. Corrected Hero v2 uses two compact widely separated wear patches and a low salt-worn curb trace; final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review confirms terrain dominance, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The r153 172-assertion baseline plus r154's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 174 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 239/240 repainted, and transport/pilgrim-path is final. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-448-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Trade Route is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r153 with corrected terrain-first fields Hero v2, one minute tally-peg detail and one identity-free field ground at ATLAS-TRADE-SITE-005 q24/r13 (x2986/y1153, six connectors, 45 Heroes). An initial compatible scan returned only an extreme-edge site; a bounded central scan selected this real grassland-category, fields-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Four exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Close composition rejected Hero v1 because its diagonal ruts became an edge-to-edge road after runtime cropping. Corrected Hero v2 uses a tiny pack-frame with dull trade bales and two separated wheel-scuff pairs; final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review confirms terrain dominance, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The r152 170-assertion baseline plus r153's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 172 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 238/240 repainted with two remaining, and transport/coastal-road is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-447-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Ferry Crossing is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r152 with one terrain-first wetlands Hero, one minute mooring-peg detail and one identity-free marsh-edge ground at ATLAS-FERRY-CROSSING-002 q84/r32 (x9606/y2720, five connectors, 45 Heroes). A sequential single-process 40-seed scan selected the first of 35 real coast-category, wetlands-profile candidates while preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepted all three sources on the first attempt: one small low flat-bottomed scow rests on a short local muddy landing, with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The legacy black backing, island, broad blue watercourse, giant ferry platform, tall posts, paved roads, fences, conifers, boulder rim and glossy icon treatment are absent. The r151 168-assertion baseline plus r152's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 170 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 237/240 repainted with three remaining, and transport/trade-route is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-446-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Stone Bridge is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r151 with one terrain-first hills Hero, one minute repair-stone detail and one identity-free hill-pasture ground at ATLAS-STONE-BRIDGE-010 q43/r14 (x4843/y1235, four connectors, 51 Heroes). Transport selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled, so a sequential single-process 40-seed scan selected this first real grassland-category, hills-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepted all three sources on the first attempt: one low humble single-span fieldstone bridge crosses one short dry seasonal cut, with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The legacy black backing, raised island, broad blue river, enormous arch, towers, roads, conifers, boulder rim and glossy icon treatment are absent. The r150 166-assertion baseline plus r151's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 168 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 236/240 repainted with four remaining, and transport/ferry-crossing is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-445-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Rope Bridge is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r150 with one terrain-first wetlands Hero, one minute rope-wrapped maintenance-peg detail and one identity-free wetland ground at ATLAS-ROPE-BRIDGE-001 q102/r28 (x11130/y2390, five connectors, 55 Heroes). Transport selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled, so a sequential single-process 40-seed scan selected this first real wetland-category, wetlands-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepted all three sources on the first attempt: one short humble footbridge crosses one localized shallow reed-lined drainage, with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The legacy black backing, raised gorge-island, waterfall, broad watercourse, giant posts, oversized bridge, conifers, boulder rim and glossy icon treatment are absent. The r149 164-assertion baseline plus r150's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 166 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 235/240 repainted with five remaining, and transport/stone-bridge is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-444-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Mountain Pass is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r149 with one terrain-first mountain Hero, one minute wind-scoured notch detail and one identity-free upland ground at ATLAS-MOUNTAIN-PASS-001 q41/r32 (x5510/y2720, five connectors, 61 Heroes). Transport selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled, so a sequential single-process 40-seed scan selected this first real mountain-category, mountain-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepted all three sources on the first attempt: two low unequal broken rock shoulders frame a shallow natural saddle, with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources and no warnings or image errors. The legacy black backing, raised island, giant twin spires, bridge, river, waterfall, paved road, conifers, boulder rim and glossy icon treatment are absent. The r148 162-assertion baseline plus r149's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 164 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 234/240 repainted with six remaining, and transport/rope-bridge is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-443-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Forest Trail is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r148 with corrected terrain-first forest Hero v3, corrected minute root-and-scuff detail v2 and one identity-free olive forest ground at ATLAS-FOREST-TRAIL-001 q41/r63 (x6987/y5278, five connectors, 42 Heroes). Transport selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled, so a sequential single-process 40-seed scan selected this first real forest-category, forest-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Six exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Direct review rejected an identity-free Hero and a detail that became a diagonal trail with trunks and stumps; regional review rejected Hero v2's warmer brown island. Active Hero v3 and detail v2 derive from the accepted ground and share its palette and texture. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts three low-contrast separated scuffs and one minute subordinate trace with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources and no warnings or image errors. The r147 160-assertion baseline plus r148's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 162 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 233/240 repainted with seven remaining, and transport/mountain-pass is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-442-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Stone Road is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r147 with corrected terrain-first fields Hero v2, corrected minute flat-cobble detail v3 and one identity-free straw-olive ground at ATLAS-STONE-ROAD-002 q70/r50 (x9130/y4205, three connectors, 42 Heroes). Transport selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled, so a sequential single-process scan of 40 real grassland candidates selected this first central fields-profile fallback while preserving geography and the Hero total. Six exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Close composition rejected Hero v1's continuous diagonal road and detail v1's oversized clipped curb, while direct review rejected detail v2's upright square block. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts exactly two short separated grass-broken cobble remnants and three nearly flush subordinate flecks with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources and no warnings or image errors. The r146 158-assertion baseline plus r147's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 160 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 232/240 repainted with eight remaining, and transport/forest-trail is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-441-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Crossroads is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r146 with one terrain-first fields Hero, one subordinate partly buried fieldstone waymarker and one identity-free straw-olive ground at ATLAS-CROSSROADS-005 q46/r78 (x8177/y6515, five connectors, 55 Heroes). No occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds or 200 dedicated probes because transport category selection is inactive while connection layers are disabled; controlled grassland-category fallback therefore uses a real fields-profile candidate and preserves the Hero total and generated geography. Four exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Initial detail v1 remains rejected because it duplicated the Hero's wooden signpost at composed scale. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts the localized dirt-road junction and corrected stone marker with terrain dominance, exact focused/ready sources and no warnings or image errors. The r145 156-assertion baseline plus r146's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 158 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 231/240 repainted with nine remaining, and transport/stone-road is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-440-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Desert Kasbah is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r145 with one terrain-first desert Hero, one subordinate sentry-shade detail and one identity-free ochre gravel ground at ATLAS-DESERT-KASBAH-001 q0/r48 (x2366/y4040, four connectors, 50 Heroes). No occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds. A sequential one-process 200-seed scan found six natural legacy occurrences but all were on fields terrain, so the replacement does not inherit that mismatch: controlled desert-only fallback uses an actual desert-category candidate and preserves the Hero total and generated geography. Three exact 1536x1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts a modest low mudbrick defensive refuge, a subordinate support trace and continuous terrain, with exact focused/ready sources and no warnings or image errors. The r144 154-assertion baseline plus r145's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 156 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 230/240 repainted with 10 remaining, and transport/crossroads is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-439-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Cliff City is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r144 with terrain-first tundra and arctic profile families at the first natural occurrence of each profile: ATLAS-CLIFF-CITY-025 q7/r85 (x4796/y7093, eight connectors, 54 Heroes) and -091 q41/r14 (x4653/y1235, seven connectors, 63 Heroes). No occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds; a sequential single-process 200-seed scan found five tundra and one arctic occurrence. Nine exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Six are active; the initial three arctic v1 paintings are retained as rejected evidence because regional review exposed a bright circular snow plate. Corrected arctic v2 uses cold ochre-grey and olive-grey terrain with sparse frost. Final tundra and corrected-arctic close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts tiny low dwellings on natural ledges, subordinate watch traces, terrain dominance, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The r143 152-assertion baseline plus r144's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 154 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 229/240 repainted with 11 remaining, and fortification/desert-kasbah is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-438-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Desert Village is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r143 with one terrain-first desert Hero, one subordinate shade/storage detail and one identity-free desert ground at GONZ-ATLAS-0902 q52/r37 (x6796/y3133, five connectors, 47 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds or 200 dedicated probes, and no rural Hero naturally occupied desert terrain; controlled alternate-category fallback therefore lets the rural replacement use an explicit desert-category site already occupied by Singing Dunes, preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts four tiny one-storey mudbrick homes, a shared cistern, one shade frame and two restrained palms as an unwalled village distinct from Walled Oasis, Oasis Town and Caravanserai, with ordinary terrain dominant, shoreline unchanged, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The r142 150-assertion baseline plus r143's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 152 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 228/240 repainted with 12 remaining, and city/cliff-city is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-437-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Lumber Village is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r142 with one terrain-first forest Hero, one subordinate lumber-work detail and one identity-free forest-edge ground at GONZ-ATLAS-0902 q103/r35 (x11559/y2968, five connectors, 47 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds or 200 dedicated probes, and no rural Hero naturally occupied forest terrain; controlled alternate-category fallback therefore lets the rural replacement use an explicit forest-category site already occupied by Woodland Waystone Sanctuary, preserving geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts three tiny lived-in cottages, one modest open saw shelter and restrained log stacks as a village distinct from Timber Reserve and quieter than Forest Town, with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The r141 148-assertion baseline plus r142's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 150 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 227/240 repainted with 13 remaining, and rural/desert-village is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-436-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Mining Camp is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r141 with one terrain-first hills Hero, one minute support lean-to detail and one identity-free hills ground at GONZ-ATLAS-0902 q72/r34 (x8558/y2885, six connectors, 47 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 standard seeds or 200 dedicated probes; this controlled fallback uses an already-selected rural hills candidate and preserves geography and the Hero total. Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts three tiny canvas tents, an open tool shelter, one timber stack and two restrained spoil heaps with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, zero tonal fallbacks and no warnings or image errors. The legacy mine mouth, rail, crane, smoke, large buildings, black backing and hard rim are absent. The r140 146-assertion baseline plus r141's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 148 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 226/240 repainted with 14 remaining, and rural/lumber-village is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-435-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Aurora Expanse is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r140 with one terrain-first arctic Hero, one minute diffuse color-cast detail and one identity-free snow/stone ground at ATLAS-AURORA-EXPANSE-110 q1/r5 (x413/y493, four connectors, 64 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 recorded standard seeds; the dedicated 200-seed search found two, and the first catalog-order hit was selected. Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts exactly three separated faint matte desaturated celadon-grey and smoky mauve-grey snow reflections and a subordinate dapple with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors. The legacy night sky, vertical curtains, stars, saturated cyan, mountains, spires, lake, conifers, black backing, raised island and hard rim are absent; no patch forms a route, ribbon, pool or ring. The r139 144-assertion baseline plus r140's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 146 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 225/240 repainted with 15 remaining, and rural/mining-camp is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-434-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Permafrost Flats is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r139 with terrain-first arctic Hero v1, one minute frost-rimmed soil detail and corrected identity-free snow/stone/grit ground v2 at ATLAS-PERMAFROST-FLATS-001 q61/r14 (x6558/y1235, four connectors, 56 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 recorded standard seeds or 200 dedicated deterministic probes, so this compatible arctic catalog-review fallback preserves geography. Four exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Ground v1 is preserved as rejected evidence because a smooth pale oval could read as a frozen pond when repeated. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts four nearly flat separated frozen-soil plates and a subordinate detail with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors; the legacy turquoise cliffs, spires, black backing, raised island and hard rim are absent. The r138 142-assertion baseline plus r139's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 144 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 224/240 repainted with 16 remaining, and arctic/aurora-expanse is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-433-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Snow Plain is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r138 with terrain-first arctic Hero v1, corrected minute half-buried stone detail v2 and one identity-free snow/stone/grit ground at ATLAS-SNOW-PLAIN-001 q56/r11 (x5939/y988, four connectors, 51 Heroes). Detail v1 is preserved as rejected evidence because its flat rectangular stone read as a cut slab or masonry step regionally. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts exactly three low unequal snow swells and corrected rounded natural detail with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors; the legacy alpine peaks, lakes, conifers, black backing, island and hard rim are absent. The r137 140-assertion baseline plus r138's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 142 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 223/240 repainted with 17 remaining, and arctic/permafrost-flats is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

Ice Spires is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r137 with one terrain-first arctic Hero, one minute partly buried ice-fragment detail and one identity-free snow/rock/grit ground at ATLAS-COLD-001 q79/r15 (x8320/y1318, six connectors, 51 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 recorded standard seeds or 200 dedicated deterministic probes, so this compatible arctic catalog-review fallback preserves geography. Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts three asymmetric weathered fins and a subordinate fragment with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors; the legacy saturated cyan crystal skyline, black backing, raised island, rim, repeated needles and glow are absent. The r136 138-assertion baseline plus r137's single combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 140 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 222/240 repainted with 18 remaining, and arctic/snow-plain is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-431-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Cinder Cones is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r136 with terrain-first mountain Hero v1, one minute collapsed-scoria detail and one identity-free ash-grey/grey-brown upland ground at natural standard-seed site GONZ q89/r33 (x10130/y2803, five connectors, 46 Heroes). Three exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract. Direct and final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts exactly three low unequal dormant cinder mounds in an open irregular triangle and a subordinate broken scoria shoulder with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors. There is no legacy black backing, raised island, rim, perfect cone, deep crater, lava, glow, magma crack, smoke, steam or eruption spectacle. The r135 136-assertion baseline plus r136's single combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 138 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. Inventory is 221/240 repainted with 19 remaining, and arctic/ice-spires is next. Continue with one test worker, one server, one simulation worker and one browser tab; do not run the load test during ordinary art iteration.

> Scenes-430-local is the current production checkpoint (2026-09-14). Geothermal Valley is production-accepted in manifest illustrated-places-166-r135 with terrain-first mountain Hero v1, corrected minute mineral-seep detail v2 and one identity-free grey-brown upland ground at ATLAS-GEOTHERMAL-104 q66/r59 (x9178/y4948, five connectors, 56 Heroes). No natural occurrence appeared in 18 recorded standard seeds, so this bounded compatible mountain catalog-review site preserves geography. Four exact 1536×1024 opaque RGB paintings bind the four canonical references and mandatory September 5-7 style contract; three are active. Detail v1 is rejected for competing with the Hero's smaller basin. Final close/regional 1.65/0.845 review accepts exactly two separated unequal smoke-blue-grey basins, broken muted mineral feathers, two faint low steam wisps and one minute seep with ordinary terrain dominant, exact focused/ready sources, and zero warnings or image errors. The r134 134-assertion baseline plus r135's combined 22/22 one-worker gate establish 136 relevant green assertions; the one-process raster verifier passes. > Scenes-299-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-10). Floating Stones v2 is accepted and active in manifest illustrated-places-106-r20. Four exact full-bleed 1536x1024 RGB Heroes and eight companions cover mountain, grasslands, desert and hills. The four audited sites and connector topology are unchanged. Genuine one-tab composed review inspected all profiles at zoom 1.65 and 0.85 (eight views), confirmed exact Hero/detail/ground sources plus focused/ready state, and accepted three to five small matte fragments over natural shelves without glow, platform, halo, giant island mass or hard-edged plate. The focused gate passes 61/61 with one worker; the single-process raster verifier passes. Each seed used one server and one simulation worker. No broad whole-directory suite or load test ran. Continue with source-approved Rocky Headland, which remains inactive until its fields/tundra composed and verification gates pass.

> Scenes-298-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-10). The September 8 correction batch is complete: Irrigated Farms, Cursed Land, Portal Nexus and Celestial Crater are active and accepted in manifest illustrated-places-106-r19. Forty-two exact full-bleed 1536x1024 RGB production paintings cover 14 profile scenes. Genuine one-tab composed review inspected each profile at zoom 1.65 and 0.85 (28 views), confirmed exact v2 sources plus focused/ready state, and accepted the September 5–7 terrain-first look without plates, halos, glow, isolated icons or oversized landmark masses. The curated batch acceptance set passes 79/79 with one test worker, including the corrected global Hero/count expectations; the single-process raster verifier passed after every family integration. Each review server used one simulation worker, and no broad whole-directory suite or load test ran. The temporary expansion-generation freeze is now closed. Continue the still-active whole-map goal with source-approved Floating Stones composed review and bounded integration first, then Rocky Headland; both remain inactive until their own composed and verification gates pass.

> Scenes-294-local is an inactive Floating Stones source checkpoint (2026-09-10). Twelve source paintings cover mountain, grasslands, desert and hills Hero/detail/ground roles. All are full-bleed 1536x1024 8-bit RGB with unique verified hashes and retained generated originals; the dedicated one-worker guard passes 2/2 and preserves four deterministic legacy sites. Direct automatic review accepts three to five small hovering fragments over natural shelves, tiny single-fragment details and identity-free grounds; one overly repetitive mountain ground was rejected and replaced. Exact evidence is in floating-stones-v2-course-correction-prompts.json, floating-stones-v2-source-receipt.json and floating-stones-v2-integration-readiness.json. No production path or manifest field changed; illustrated-places-106-r16 still uses legacy Floating Stones art. Composed review remains pending; no broad suite, raster verifier or load test ran.

> Scenes-293-local is an inactive Rocky Headland source checkpoint (2026-09-10). A fresh sequential 18-seed catalog audit selected coast/rocky-headland from the tied four-occurrence backlog. Two fields/tundra Heroes and four automatically approved companions are full-bleed 1536x1024 8-bit RGB with unique verified SHA-256 hashes and retained generated originals; the dedicated family guard passes 2/2 with one worker. The new identity is a low weathered promontory attached to continuous land, with subordinate outcrops and identity-free grounds—never the legacy tall isolated island or black-backed icon. Exact evidence is in rocky-headland-v2-course-correction-prompts.json, rocky-headland-v2-source-receipt.json and rocky-headland-v2-integration-readiness.json. No production path or manifest field changed; illustrated-places-106-r16 still uses legacy Rocky Headland art. Composed review remains pending; no broad suite, raster verifier or load test ran.

> Scenes-292-local is an inactive Celestial Crater source checkpoint (2026-09-10). The selected wetlands 05B Hero and eleven automatically approved derived paintings cover wetlands, arctic, grasslands and hills Hero/detail/ground roles. All twelve review files are full-bleed 1536x1024 8-bit RGB with unique verified SHA-256 hashes and retained generated originals; the dedicated family guard passes 4/4 with one worker. The identity remains a small irregular impact scar, short ejecta trace and matte meteor remnant, with subordinate details and identity-free grounds, without glow, halo, perfect ring, platform or isolated icon treatment. Exact evidence is in celestial-crater-v2-course-correction-prompts.json, celestial-crater-v2-source-receipt.json and celestial-crater-v2-integration-readiness.json. No production path or manifest field changed; illustrated-places-106-r16 still uses Celestial Crater v1. Composed review remains pending; no broad suite, raster verifier or load test ran.

> Scenes-291-local is an inactive Portal Nexus source checkpoint (2026-09-10). The selected desert 04B Hero and eight automatically approved derived paintings now cover desert, wetlands and grasslands Hero/detail/ground roles. All nine review files are full-bleed 1536×1024 RGB, their SHA-256 hashes pass, and the lightweight family guard passes 4/4 with one worker. The identity remains a small freestanding weathered threshold with open terrain visible through it and faint broken marker alignments, without cave treatment, glow, halo, platform, plaza or ritual ring. Exact evidence is in portal-nexus-v2-course-correction-prompts.json, portal-nexus-v2-source-receipt.json and portal-nexus-v2-integration-readiness.json. No production path or manifest field changed; illustrated-places-106-r16 still uses Portal Nexus v1. Composed review remains pending; no broad suite or load test ran.

> Scenes-290-local is an inactive Cursed Land source checkpoint (2026-09-10). The user-approved grasslands Hero and eleven automatically approved derived paintings cover grasslands, desert, mountain and tundra Hero/detail/ground roles. All twelve review files are full-bleed 1536×1024 RGB and their SHA-256 hashes pass. The new visual language is quiet exhausted material shift plus low weathered stones, without purple glow, halo, ritual ring, platform or isolated icon. Exact source evidence is in cursed-land-v2-course-correction-prompts.json, cursed-land-v2-source-receipt.json and cursed-land-v2-integration-readiness.json. No production path or manifest field changed; illustrated-places-106-r16 still uses Cursed Land v1. Composed review is pending, so do not route or claim acceptance. No tests, raster verifier, broad suite or load test ran for this art-only checkpoint.

> Scenes-289-local is a pending technical checkpoint (2026-09-10). Irrigated Farms has nine approved full-bleed RGB v2 paintings routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r16. Exact hashes, the bounded nine-path change, all five retained occurrences, 61/61 one-worker focused checks and the single-process raster verifier pass. Composed review is still pending because malformed navigation reached the browser security boundary; do not call this family or wave accepted until hills, grasslands and tundra are genuinely inspected in one tab. The local server was stopped and no load or broad suite was run.

> Scenes-288-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-10). Mana Spring is accepted across mountain, grasslands, tundra and desert through manifest illustrated-places-106-r15; wave four is complete. All twelve active paintings are exact 1536×1024 RGB sources. The bounded nine-path change preserves five audited occurrences, Hero totals and connector topology. Focused checks pass 61/61 at one worker, the raster verifier passes as one process, and composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 uses one active map tab and one server at a time, reports exact r15 sources, focused/ready, zero app-origin logs and continuous terrain without a plate or halo. The wave-wide suite passes 404/404 with two workers; no load test ran. Continue wave five with Irrigated Farms, auto-approving only after exact provenance plus direct source/composed review and asking the user only for ambiguous or failed art.

> Scenes-287-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-09). Salt Desert v2 is accepted under the automatic-review policy and routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r14; wave three is 2/2 complete. Exact Hero/detail/ground RGB hashes, 61/61 one-worker focused checks, the single-process raster verifier and one-tab composed review of independent ATLAS-AT-004 and ATLAS-AT-008 geometries at zoom 0.85/1.65 all pass. All five desert occurrences, audited Hero totals and connector topology are unchanged. The modest saline depression, minor gypsum/brine trace and quiet ground stay embedded in real desert/coast geography without a halo, plate, isolated white island, repeated mineral band or competing landmark. The live reviews reported focused, cache ready, zero app-origin errors and an 11.0 ms maximum frame. The wave-wide suite passes 401/401 with two workers; no load test ran. Continue wave four with the remaining Mana Spring profile companions.

> Scenes-286-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-09). Mangrove Coast v2 is accepted under the automatic-review policy and routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r13. Exact Hero/detail/ground RGB hashes, 61/61 one-worker focused checks, the single-process raster verifier and one-tab composed review of independent ATLAS-AT-003 and ATLAS-AT-008 shorelines at zoom 0.85/1.65 all pass. All four forest occurrences, audited Hero totals and connector topology are unchanged. The regional estuary, incidental root/branch detail and quiet silt stay embedded in real forest/coast geography without a cutout tree, halo, plate, false island, repeated band or competing landmark. The live reviews reported focused, cache ready, zero app-origin errors and a 10.0 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran. Continue wave three with Salt Desert.

> Scenes-285-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-09). Volcanic Seamount v2 is accepted under the automatic-review policy and routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r12; wave two is 8/8 complete. Exact Hero/detail/ground RGB hashes, 61/61 one-worker focused checks, the single-process raster verifier and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 all pass. The retained ATLAS-PINE-001 q118/r14 ocean site and one-detail/five-ground topology are unchanged. The subdued underwater ridge, low-basalt detail and quiet water remain embedded in broad continuous ocean without eruption, lava, smoke, glow, halo, island edge, coastline, hard plate or competing landmark. The live review reported focused, cache ready, zero app-origin errors and a 7.6 ms maximum frame. The wave-wide suite passes 385/385 with two workers. No load test ran. Continue wave three with Mangrove Coast.

> Scenes-284-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-09). Sargasso Drift v2 is accepted under the automatic-review policy and routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r11. Exact Hero/detail/ground RGB hashes, 61/61 one-worker focused tests in 9.2 seconds, the single-process raster verifier and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 all pass. The retained ATLAS-PINE-001 q102/r7 ocean site and one-detail/four-ground topology are unchanged; only stale native-size metadata was corrected to the actual 1536x1024 source. Loose faded weed ribbons, low-rock detail and quiet water remain embedded in broad continuous ocean without an island edge, spiral, whirlpool, glow or plate. The live review reported focused, cache ready, zero app-origin warnings/errors and a 1.5 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran. Continue wave two with Volcanic Seamount.

> Scenes-283-local is the current continuation checkpoint (2026-09-09). Port Town v2 is accepted under the automatic-review policy and routed by manifest illustrated-places-106-r10. Exact Hero/detail/ground production hashes, 62/62 one-worker focused tests, the single-process raster verifier and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 all pass. The retained ATLAS-PINE-001 q86/r40 topology is unchanged; no halo, platform, cutout edge or eruption spectacle is visible. No broad suite or load test ran. Wave one is complete. Continue with Buried City, the first wave-two family, generating and validating one profile set at a time and asking the user only if an asset is ambiguous or fails.

> Scenes-276-local supersedes the scenes-274 and scenes-273 continuation paragraphs below (2026-09-09). The user authorized test-backed automatic approval with the exact text automatically approve based on your test, i dont want to reply on all. The 18-slot register now selects every approved Hero candidate, including 04B and 05B. Mana Spring desert v3 is integrated through manifest illustrated-places-106-r3: exact RGB production copies pass 66/66 focused checks with one worker, the raster verifier passes, and composed browser review passes at zoom 0.85 and 1.65 with all three sources ready and zero page errors. Do not run load tests during ordinary art iteration. Continue generating/integrating one bounded family/profile set at a time; auto-approve only when provenance and direct art review pass, and ask the user only for ambiguous or failed candidates.

> Scenes-274-local supersedes the scenes-273 continuation paragraph immediately below (2026-09-09). The new Mana Spring desert v3 readiness plan permits no current runtime change. After explicit approval of MS-D1 and MS-G1, it allows one manifest version bump, three desert source-path changes and two companion-label corrections while locking ATLAS-AT-005 q72/r28, the 47-Hero total, seven-companion topology, other profile routes, masks and crop metadata. Its focused boundary contract passes 4/4 in 660 ms with one worker; all future paths remain inactive.

> Current continuation supersedes the historical notes below (scenes-273-local, 2026-09-09). The approved Mana Spring desert Sample 01 now anchors two inactive full-bleed RGB companion candidates: MS-D1 is a narrow subordinate mineral-seep trace and MS-G1 is quiet no-water ground. Both pass assistant preflight and 3/3 exact provenance/inactivity checks in 97 ms with one worker; review them in mana-spring-desert-companion-review.md. They remain unapproved and unrouted. The Walled Town acceptance discrepancy remains reconciled at 22/22 focused tests. Twenty inactive Hero candidates across eighteen decisions also remain pending. Manifest illustrated-places-106-r2 is unchanged; no broad suite, load run or server ran, and every test/load concurrency ceiling stays at two.

Next task contract: work only in C:\Arkiv\Projects\WorldOfGonz; keep tests capped at two workers and prefer one; use at most one focused browser page/server; do not run the 100-client load gate during ordinary art iteration. Olive Groves is accepted at manifest illustrated-places-114-r35 after exact provenance, direct canonical source comparison, two live composed views, a 3/3 active family gate, an 83/83 one-worker focused gate and a one-process raster pass. Continue with farmland/pastureland at ATLAS-AT-001 q-11/r24 (fields, four connectors, 42 Heroes) and ATLAS-AT-003 q82/r7 (tundra, five connectors, 57 Heroes). Generate one terrain-first Hero, one subordinate natural detail and one identity-free ground source per profile; keep the family inactive until direct style review passes, then preserve both topologies through exact routing and real close/regional inspection. Preserve the September 5–7 full-bleed terrain-first hierarchy and auto-approve only after exact provenance, direct visual review, genuine composed inspection, the dedicated one-worker family gate, the focused one-worker regression gate and a separate single-process raster check. Update all receipts and primary documents once per accepted family. Keep the complete-map goal active until whole-map visual review, joins, repetition, foreground performance, catalog coverage and release approval genuinely close.

This file is the continuation contract for the active map art-direction goal. Start the next task in C:\Arkiv\Projects\WorldOfGonz; do not use or modify any project under C:\Users\niels\OneDrive.

Objective

Continue replacing the legacy map plates with the illustrated-atlas-v2 art direction from gonzVision1.png / public/assets/illustrated-atlas-vision.png. Preserve deterministic geography, terrain-domain masks, native-scale transparent compositing, profile-aware Hero routing, connected companion topology, and a truthful evidence ledger. Do not call the goal complete until whole-map visual review, cross-biome joins, repetition, foreground performance, catalog coverage, and release approval are genuinely closed.

Current next task contract (supersedes the historical lines above): work only in C:\\Arkiv\\Projects\\WorldOfGonz; keep tests capped at two workers and prefer one; use at most one focused browser page/server; do not run the 100-client load gate during ordinary art iteration. Olive Groves is accepted at manifest illustrated-places-114-r35 after exact provenance, direct canonical source comparison, two live composed views, a 3/3 active family gate, an 83/83 one-worker focused gate and a one-process raster pass. Continue with farmland/pastureland at ATLAS-AT-001 q-11/r24 (fields, four connectors, 42 Heroes) and ATLAS-AT-003 q82/r7 (tundra, five connectors, 57 Heroes). Generate one terrain-first Hero, one subordinate natural detail and one identity-free ground source per profile; keep the family inactive until direct style review passes, then preserve both topologies through exact routing and real close/regional inspection. Preserve the September 5–7 full-bleed terrain-first hierarchy and auto-approve only after exact provenance, direct visual review, genuine composed inspection, the dedicated one-worker family gate, the focused one-worker regression gate and a separate single-process raster check. Update all receipts and primary documents once per accepted family. Keep the complete-map goal active until whole-map visual review, joins, repetition, foreground performance, catalog coverage and release approval genuinely close.

Resource guardrails (mandatory)

  • Run the regular suite only through npm test. Its script is node --test --test-concurrency=2 test/*.test.js; never launch an unconstrained node --test test/*.test.js for this goal.
  • Prefer one or two affected test files first. The deterministic read-only probes in scripts/find-art-review-seeds.js memoize plain-data reports per manifest/seed, so repeated assertions in one worker do not regenerate the 128×88 world.
  • Keep integration asset reads on mapWithConcurrency with MAX_TEST_FETCH_CONCURRENCY = 2; do not reintroduce unbounded Promise.all(...fetch...) batches. Run node --test --test-concurrency=1 test/resource-limits.test.js after changing test or load orchestration.
  • Do not run the 100-client load gate during ordinary iteration. When a load gate is required, use npm run test:load with the default LOAD_CONNECT_CONCURRENCY=2; keep LOAD_CLIENTS and LOAD_DURATION small for smoke checks (for example LOAD_CLIENTS=10 LOAD_DURATION=1). Only run the 100-client gate once for a checkpoint.
  • Keep browser QA to one local server and one focused tab at a time. Stop the server after the capture and do not leave load-test servers running.
  • Avoid parallel image/raster verification jobs. Run npm run test:art separately from Node tests.

Verified checkpoint before this handoff

Scenes-228 (Dormant Volcano) was integrated and browser-reviewed. Before the next family was added, the full suite passed 294/294 in 111.7 seconds with two test workers. The latest completed low-burst load gate passed 100/100 connections with two concurrent handshakes: 8,950 snapshots, 9 snapshots/player-second, 8,829 bytes/player-second, 1 ms p95 welcome, and 0.0377 ms maximum tick. The raster/art verifier passed with 240 hero mappings, 8 variants per Hero, 32 base motifs, visible-magenta ratio 0.00017213965894135962, maximum texture edge difference 30.76, 22 terrain assets, 33 structural assets, 100 additional directional paintings, 64 verified ecotone sources, and 26 seam-architecture checks.

The active pre-Ruined-Oasis inventory was 98 logical modern Heroes, 117 profile-resolved Hero paintings, 234 distinct companions, 936 placement recipes, 95/240 legacy identities repainted, 93 native-scale logical Heroes, 112 native-scale Hero paintings, 224 native-scale companions, and 330 authored contact contours. Whole-biome approval, all-profile approval, project-wide foreground FPS, repetition, cross-biome joins, remaining catalog identities, and release approval were still open.

Work already staged for the next checkpoint

The next bounded candidate is oasis/ruined-oasis, retained at ATLAS-PINE-001 q29/r48 in the desert profile. A read-only audit found no occurrences in the other five review seeds and preserved the geography/54-Hero total. The new native sources are:

  • Hero: tile-library/atlas-v2/hero-expansion/heroes/ruined-oasis-desert-v1.png
  • Detail: tile-library/atlas-v2/hero-expansion/connectors/ruined-oasis-desert-detail-v1.png
  • Ground: tile-library/atlas-v2/hero-expansion/connectors/ruined-oasis-desert-ground-v1.png

All three are 1536×1024 RGBA PNGs with alpha min 0 / max 254. SHA-256 values are recorded in ruined-oasis-family-receipt.json. Prompts and generated-original paths are in ruined-oasis-family-prompts.json. The manifest already contains the desert-only Hero, land-domain metadata, preferred site, native crop/contact contour, one protected distance-two detail, six quiet ground companions, and eight recipes. The focused routing/provenance test test/ruined-oasis-family.test.js passes 3/3; the affected contract set (ruined-oasis-family, hero-library, native-terrain-domain) passes 22/22 with two workers.

The staged candidate increases the expected inventory to 99 logical modern Heroes, 118 profile-resolved Hero paintings, 236 companions, 944 recipes, 96/240 legacy replacements, 94 native-scale logical Heroes, 113 native-scale Hero paintings, 226 native-scale companions, and 333 authored contours. The top README/spec/ledger still need to be reconciled to those numbers after final QA.

Required next actions

  1. Run the full regular suite once, only as npm test; confirm 297/297 and update the Ruined Oasis receipt/ledger test totals only if the observed total differs.
  2. Run npm run test:art once, separately, and verify the three new PNGs, hashes, dimensions, alpha coverage, and active asset paths.
  3. Perform genuine in-app browser composition QA at:

http://127.0.0.1:3227/?seed=ATLAS-PINE-001&hero=oasis%2Fruined-oasis&near=5129,4040&zoom=1.65&profile=desert Use one local server/tab, wait for the scene cache to be ready, inspect the actual rendered composition, and record sources, cache state, viewport, warnings/errors, and a visual finding. The prior attempt loaded the page and reported zero warning/error logs, but screenshot capture failed; therefore composition review is still pending and must not be called pass from that attempt.

  1. Update ruined-oasis-family-receipt.json with the browser evidence and final validation status. Update docs/art-direction/complete-map-ledger.json, README.md, tile-library/atlas-v2/hero-expansion/README.md, docs/art-direction/complete-map-goal.md, and docs/art-direction/illustrated-atlas-v2-production-spec.md to scenes-229 and the staged inventory/load figures. Keep older family measurements explicitly historical.
  2. Re-run only the affected tests after documentation/manifest edits; do not repeat the 100-client load gate unless code affecting server performance changed. Stop the server and remove only temporary QA data if it was created for this checkpoint.
  3. Re-run the six-seed read-only catalog audit. If ruins/buried-city remains the only other visible unintegrated identity, select it as the next candidate and repeat the same bounded workflow. Continue to keep whole-biome, foreground-FPS, repetition, cross-biome joins, remaining catalog, and release gates open until evidenced.

No commit or deployment is authorized by this handoff. The working tree is intentionally uncommitted and contains substantial earlier map-art work; preserve unrelated user changes. > Current checkpoint (2026-09-12, scenes-338): Wind-Carved Snow is accepted in manifest illustrated-places-122-r43 as one Polar Icecap-derived arctic Hero plus restrained sastrugi detail and identity-free ground. Direct canonical review and genuine 1.65/0.845 composition pass with exact focused/ready sources, zero warnings or image errors, 7.7 ms maximum slice and 6.9 ms maximum frame. The 33/33 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The fresh 18-seed audit selects city/ancient-metropolis next at ATLAS-AT-012 q100/r54, desert, seven connectors. Keep generation sequential, bind all four canonical references, and do not run a broad suite or load test during ordinary art iteration.
