Corrected display-fringe comparison

The corrected display-fringe method completed 12 normal desktop, portrait-phone and landscape-phone Region/Hex views. All 18 pan/shared-view reconnect maps are pixel-exact, and all three actual Hex foreground comparisons are unchanged. Across six masked base views, all 1,238,996 fully opaque painted display pixels remain exact; only already-translucent display alpha changes. Six complete source-cohort comparisons cover 9,968,160 map pixels. Direct native comparison shows a subtle fringe change while the darker patch boundary remains visible, so retain the original native art and baseline rendering as preferred. Desktop and landscape Hex source rectangles fit the existing framing; portrait Hex clips part of this unadmitted overlay, including 564 opaque native pixel centers by geometric calculation. That calculation is not a screen-visibility comparison. Complete normal portrait framing, wetness/contact, relevant state and full performance gates remain open. The failed native-mask history is preserved separately; no source admission, public activation or complete game-ready approval is added.

The exact source remains the1584x1072native alpha PNG WOG-A-009138, SHA-256 c3111d24e68ce1f76ae729ce24c4de0767e2b4ba84e59debcfc6c9bb703e9939. It is drawn once at the unchanged smaller placement over the private fine1.25-span original wetland floor. No repeating pattern, mirroring, source crop or source PNG edit is used. The method squares alpha only for display pixels already in1..254; every255-alpha display pixel is protected by the original guard. Separate native-alpha-mask resampling is not used. The prior failed path is retained in its rejection record.

The18exact maps cover six Region pointer pan-returns and12canonical Share-view reconnects. All buffers are compared in memory. The one native sheet contains baseline/edge columns for desktop, portrait phone and landscape phone, each in Region and Hex views. A full source rectangle fitting a surface does not establish that every UI overlay leaves it unobscured; portrait clipping and relevant UI coverage remain explicit limitations.

Native pixel-center geometry separately checks the original alpha support. Portrait clipping includes5,062nonzero-alpha and564fully opaque native sample centers. This establishes a source/viewport intersection limitation for the private overlay, not a resampled screen-pixel count or general source-integrated framing approval. Normal framing follows the admitted reed, with no camera or geography override to make the private ground fit.

The renderer reads a transient CPU display surface to protect/verify its opaque core. Allocation/readback work is not accepted as a production performance fix. Keep performance, GPU/fallback interactions, state, wetness and complete contact qualification separate from the passing CPU lifecycle/fidelity checks. The baseline remains preferred after direct inspection; a separate bounded native-edge repair study may proceed without altering the original.
