Illustrated Atlas v2 — production specification
Scenes-450 final acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r155 completes all 240 legacy identity replacements with transport/pilgrim-path. Its terrain-first hills Hero, minute offering-pebble detail and identity-free ground are exact opaque RGB paintings bound to the September 5-7 style contract and canonical Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet references. Direct and close/regional 1.65/0.845 review passed with exact focused/ready routes, unchanged geography, terrain dominance, zero browser/image errors and 10.2/6.5 ms maximum slice/frame. The combined family gate passes 22/22 with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and the final catalog-wide suite passes 703/703 with one worker. The authoritative diff contains 240/240 replacements with none missing or extra. Final inventory is 243 logical modern Heroes, 292 Hero paintings, 584 companions, 876 active unique paintings and 2,336 recipes. No load test ran during the art iteration; this closes catalog replacement work, not the requirement that future additive art retain the same style and review controls.
Scenes-424 Fir Highlands acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r129 activates corrected forest Hero v4 and two companion paintings at compatible conifer catalog-review site ATLAS-REDWOOD-135 q12/r16 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract, after an 18-standard plus 200-dedicated-seed absence audit. Hero v1 and v2 fail focused crop composition, while v3 fails because a squared-stone row reads as masonry. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept v4's exactly six small firs in a compact open four-plus-two grouping with three tiny irregular bedrock flecks in continuous ordinary upland ground. Exact focused/ready land routes preserve six strictly forest-compatible companions and the 62-Hero total without the legacy black-backed island, giant trees, cliff, monumental boulder, masonry, canopy wall, ring, row, halo or plate. The one-worker focused set reached 123/124, then the sole prompt-wording failure was corrected and its style-lock file passed 3/3, leaving all 124 focused assertions green without a second full rerun. The final one-process raster verifier passes with zero browser/image errors and 9.5/4.5 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 214/240 repainted with 26 identities remaining and selects conifer/larch-forest next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-423 Redwood Grove acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r128 activates corrected forest Hero v2 and two companion paintings at natural site ATLAS-REDWOOD-135 q6/r74 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Hero v1 remains rejected because its five trunks enclosed an empty centre. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept v2's exactly five slender redwoods as a lopsided three-tree cluster plus a displaced unequal two-tree pair in continuous ordinary forest floor. Exact focused/ready land routes preserve six strictly forest-compatible companions and the 62-Hero total without the legacy black-backed island, giant monumental trunks, dense canopy wall, fallen log, rock rim, row, halo or plate. The 122/122 focused gate and final one-process raster verifier pass with one test worker, zero browser/image errors and 9.7/7.9 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 213/240 repainted with 27 identities remaining and selects conifer/fir-highlands next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-422 Spruce Taiga acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r127 activates corrected forest Hero v3 and two companion paintings at compatible catalog-review site ATLAS-SPRUCE-009 q69/r15 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract, after no natural occurrence appeared in 200 deterministic seeds. Hero v1 failed its exact seven-tree count and Hero v2 failed focused composition because its groups landed at the crop edges. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept v3's exactly seven small spruces as two open non-aligned groups plus one isolated sapling in continuous ordinary taiga floor. Exact focused/ready land routes preserve four strictly forest-compatible companions and the 53-Hero total without the legacy black-backed forest island, giant central trees, dense canopy wall, row, rock rim, snow, halo or plate. The 120/120 focused gate and final one-process raster verifier pass with one test worker, zero browser/image errors and 8.4/8.2 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 212/240 repainted with 28 identities remaining and selects conifer/redwood-grove next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-421 Beechwood acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r126 activates one forest Hero and two companion paintings at ATLAS-BEECH-001 q104/r25 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept seven small beeches in two unequal open groups plus one isolated sapling within continuous ordinary olive, moss and straw-brown forest floor. Exact focused/ready land routes preserve six strictly forest-compatible companions and the 47-Hero total without the legacy circular grove, black-backed island, giant trunks, dense canopy wall, orchard row, rock rim, halo or plate. The 118/118 focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass with one test worker, zero browser/image errors and 7.6/7.4 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 211/240 repainted with 29 identities remaining and selects conifer/spruce-taiga next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-420 Clover Field acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r125 activates one grasslands Hero and two companion paintings at ATLAS-CF-005 q-11/r38 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept three small widely separated dark-sage clover traces and two pinhead faded-cream flowers in continuous ordinary olive-and-straw grassland. Exact focused/ready land routes preserve five strictly grasslands-compatible companions and the 53-Hero total without the legacy circular clover carpet, giant leaves, bright blossom balls, rock rim, repeated dots, crop geometry, halo or plate. The 116/116 focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass with one test worker, zero browser/image errors and 3.0/7.8 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 210/240 repainted with 30 identities remaining and selects forest/beechwood next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-419 Rolling Downs acceptance (2026-09-14): manifest illustrated-places-166-r124 activates corrected grasslands Hero v2 and two companion paintings at ATLAS-RD-094 q8/r18 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Focused composition rejected Hero v1 because its long lit swell became a diagonal road-like band. Corrected Hero v2 uses three short, separated, non-aligned shallow grass shoulders in continuous ordinary olive-and-straw grassland. Genuine close/regional review reached exact focused/ready land routes with six strictly grasslands-compatible companions and without the legacy circular hill island, paths, hedges, conifers, rock rim, continuous stripe, terrace, route, halo or plate. The 112/112 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 5.5/6.1 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 209/240 repainted with 31 identities remaining and selects grassland/clover-field next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.

Focused composition rejected Hero v1 because its long lit swell became a diagonal road-like band. Corrected v2 uses three short, separated, non-aligned shallow relief cues in continuous ordinary grassland. Genuine close/regional review reached exact focused/ready land routes with six strictly grasslands-compatible companions and without the legacy circular hill island, paths, hedges, conifers, rock rim, continuous stripe, terrace, route, halo or plate. The 112/112 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 5.5/6.1 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 209/240 repainted with 31 identities remaining and selects grassland/clover-field next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.

Direct review accepted three small separated broken patches of pinhead-scale muted flower flecks in continuous ordinary olive-and-straw grassland. Genuine close/regional review reached exact focused/ready land routes with six strictly grasslands-compatible companions and without the legacy circular flower island, rock rim, conifers, dense flower carpet, repeated-dot pattern, route, halo or plate. The 110/110 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 14.2/2.3 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 208/240 repainted with 32 identities remaining and selects grassland/rolling-downs next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-417 Misty Moor acceptance (2026-09-13): manifest illustrated-places-166-r122 activates one wetlands Hero and two companion paintings at ATLAS-MM-018 q51/r16 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct review accepted three small separated ground-hugging mist traces, low sedge and muted heather in continuous peat moor. Genuine close/regional review reached exact focused/ready land routes with four strictly wetlands-compatible companions and without the legacy circular water garden, dead-tree landmark, wet ring, boulder circle, smoke trail, repeated overlay, halo or plate. The 108/108 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 7.6/10.1 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 207/240 repainted with 33 identities remaining and selects grassland/wildflower-meadow next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-416 Salt Marsh acceptance (2026-09-13): manifest illustrated-places-166-r121 activates one wetlands Hero and two companion paintings at ATLAS-SM-089 q51/r51 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct review accepted sparse pale salt traces, shallow subdued pannes and low reeds in continuous ordinary marsh; an overdense detail attempt remains rejected. Genuine close/regional review reached exact focused/ready land routes without the legacy floating diorama, crystal monument, enclosed channels, hard reed rim, route, halo or plate. The 106/106 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 7.5/3.9 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 206/240 repainted with 34 identities remaining and selects wetland/misty-moor next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-415 Lotus Wetland acceptance (2026-09-13): manifest illustrated-places-166-r120 activates one wetlands-profile Hero and two companion paintings at deterministic site ATLAS-LOTUS-001 q-9/r59 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Close composition rejected Hero v1 because its cues were too dispersed to read, v2 because it became an oversized decorative cluster, and v3 because it remained wider than nearby terrain texture. Active Hero v4 uses three micro-scale disconnected lotus cues and two pinhead blossoms in continuous muted wet meadow. Genuine close/regional review accepts v4 without a pond, shoreline, willow landmark, reed ring, raised island, hard plate or seam. Exact land-masked Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; strict wetlands compatibility preserves five companions and excludes one forest-profile legacy companion without changing geography. The 104/104 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 22.7/7.0 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 205/240 repainted with 35 identities remaining and selects wetland/salt-marsh next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-414 Quaking Mire acceptance (2026-09-13): manifest illustrated-places-166-r119 activates one wetlands-profile Hero and two companion paintings at deterministic site ATLAS-QUAKE-004 q85/r48 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct review rejects Hero v1 because three brown crescent rims read as repeated craters or rings and rejects Detail v1 because its torn edge became an oversized trench. Corrected Hero v2 uses three tiny differently shaped damp turf depressions and Detail v2 a pinhead flat compression mark in continuous muted wet meadow. Genuine close/regional review accepts the corrected family without a complete ring, crater, trench, channel, pond, raised island, hard plate or seam. Exact land-masked Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 102/102 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 7.4/5.9 ms maximum slice/frame. Direct review rejects Hero v1 because its pale silt patches align into a readable diagonal route; corrected v2 uses three isolated, differently oriented low alluvial stains in continuous muted wet meadow. Genuine close/regional review accepts v2 without a road, river, channel, pond, shoreline, raised island, ring, hard plate or seam. Exact land-masked Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 100/100 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 12.3/4.6 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 203/240 repainted with 37 identities remaining and selects wetland/quaking-mire next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.

Direct and genuine close/regional review accept two separated unequal open cypress groups rooted in continuous muted wet meadow, replacing the legacy black-backed island, dense giant tree wall and bright central pool without a circular pond, complete tree ring, raised island, canopy wall, halo, hard plate or seam. Exact land-masked Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 98/98 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 1.0/1.0 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 202/240 repainted with 38 identities remaining and selects wetland/floodplain next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-411 Peat Bog acceptance (2026-09-13): manifest illustrated-places-166-r116 activates one wetlands-profile Hero and two companion paintings at deterministic site ATLAS-WET-002 q15/r18 under the locked September 5-7 terrain-first contract. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept broken asymmetric saturated peat, low sedge and minute water glints in continuous muted wet meadow, replacing the legacy black-backed oval island and closed pool ring without a circular pond, raised island, halo, hard plate or seam. Direct and genuine close/regional review accept minute flat pumice and dull submerged mineral traces in continuous muted water, replacing the legacy black-backed crater spectacle without a volcano, lava, glow, island, painted shore, halo, hard plate or seam. Exact Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 94/94 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass with zero browser/image errors and 7.6/3.4 ms maximum slice/frame. The catalog is 200/240 repainted with 40 identities remaining and selects wetland/peat-bog next. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-344 Vineyard Hills acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-128-r49 activates three exact tundra-profile paintings bound to the four canonical image references plus the mandatory style-contract ID. Direct comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review accept low broken russet-olive vines following natural rock contours, a corrected flat incomplete windbreak detail and quiet ground in dominant tundra, replacing the legacy black-backed villa estate without a crop quilt, halo or hard plate. Detail v1's arched chamber is retained only as rejected process evidence. Exact routes reached focused/ready; the 65/65 one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The next bounded family is forest/birch-grove; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-343 Wind-Carved Badlands acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-127-r48 activates three exact desert-profile paintings bound to the four canonical image references plus the mandatory style-contract ID. Direct comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review accept a low broken diagonal field of shallow wind-cut ribs, benches and gullies, one tiny subordinate trace and quiet ground in continuous ochre gravel, replacing the legacy black-backed arch-and-spire diorama without a tall landmark, halo or hard oval. Exact Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 65/65 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The next bounded family is farmland/vineyard-hills; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-342 White Desert acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-126-r47 activates a corrected desert Hero, tiny mineral detail and quiet ground bound to the four canonical references and mandatory style-contract ID. Regional review rejected Hero v1's broad pale oval; final v2 uses asymmetric diagonal chalk-and-gypsum lobes, deep ochre corridors and a tighter irregular contact contour. Direct comparison and final live 1.65/0.845 review show continuous terrain without the legacy black-backed arch, pillar monument, halo, isolated plate or pale spotlight. Exact routes reached focused/ready; the 65/65 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass after correction. The next bounded family is desert/wind-carved-badlands; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-341 Glass Desert acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-125-r46 activates three exact desert-profile paintings derived through narrow edits from accepted Gravel Desert ground and bound to the four canonical image references plus the mandatory style-contract ID. Direct comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review accept broad low smoke-brown and dusty-amber fused sheets, one tiny partly buried trace and quiet ground in continuous gravel, replacing the legacy black-backed cyan crystal monument without tall shards, glow, halo, isolated plate or hard oval. Exact Hero/detail/ground routes reached focused/ready; the 65/65 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The next bounded family is desert/white-desert; no broad suite or load test ran.

Direct comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review accept a modest low plaster settlement, narrow muted canal network, one tiny bridge trace and quiet ground in continuous desert, replacing the legacy black-backed island diorama without a cathedral dome, skyline, broad cyan water, plate or halo. Exact routes reached focused/ready; the 29/29 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The next bounded family is desert/glass-desert; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-339 Ancient Metropolis acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-123-r44 activates three exact desert-profile v2 paintings derived through narrow edits from accepted Gravel Desert ground and bound to the four canonical references. The v1 trio remains retained but inactive because its executed prompts omitted the mandatory style-contract ID. Direct canonical comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review accept a compact low inhabited civic cluster, tiny reused-masonry trace and quiet ground in continuous desert, replacing the legacy black-backed monumental diorama without palace mass, skyline, complete wall, plate or halo. Exact routes reached focused/ready; the 29/29 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass. The next bounded family is city/canal-city; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-337 Crevasse Field acceptance (2026-09-12): illustrated-places-121-r42 activates three exact cold-neutral arctic paintings after the composed regional gate rejected the warmer v1 family for a broad oval footprint. The final Polar-derived Hero/detail/ground trio passes direct canonical comparison and live 1.65/0.845 review as shallow snow-bridged fissures embedded in continuous terrain, with exact focused/ready routing, zero browser warnings or image errors, a 1.4 ms maximum slice, the 31/31 one-worker focused gate and the one-process raster verifier. The next fresh-audit family is arctic/wind-carved-snow; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-336 style-locked Tidal Lagoon acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-120-r41 activates one exact ocean-profile Hero, one subordinate submerged-shelf detail and one identity-free ground at two audited shallow-sea sites. All three 1536x1024 RGB paintings are narrow edits of accepted Bluewater Expanse ocean art with Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet supplied as immutable references. Direct source review and four live 1.65/0.845 compositions accept diffuse pale underwater shelves divided by narrow darker tidal channels in continuous sea, with no exposed land, island outline, reef ring, bounded lagoon, plate, halo or saturated-cyan drift. The 29/29 focused one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass; browser warnings and image errors were zero, maximum slice was 16.4 ms and maximum frame 10.3 ms. The next audited family is arctic/crevasse-field. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-335 style-locked Bluewater Expanse acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-119-r40 activates one exact ocean Hero, one subordinate wind-ripple detail and one identity-free ground at both audited ocean sites. Six narrow Abyssal Deep edits were generated under Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet; three companion drafts remain rejected after the first regional view revealed a clear-water halo. The final v1/v3/v2 sources pass direct review and four live 1.65/0.845 compositions with continuous ocean, no legacy whirlpool or rock ring, and no plate, halo or saturated cyan drift. The 27/27 core one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass; browser warnings and image errors were zero, maximum slice was 13.5 ms and maximum frame 1.2 ms. The next audited family is shallow-sea/tidal-lagoon. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-334 style-locked Abyssal Deep acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-118-r39 activates one exact ocean Hero, one subordinate current-shadow detail and one identity-free ground across the two audited ocean sites. The three sources are narrow role-matched edits of accepted Sargasso Drift paintings with Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet supplied as immutable references. Direct source review and four live 1.65/0.845 compositions accept quiet bathymetric depth within continuous water, without a whirlpool, hard cutout, ring, void, glow, island or exposed seabed. The 25/25 core family/global one-worker gate and one-process raster verifier pass; the bounded regression gate is 107/108 only because the broad native-terrain-domain exact-ID allowlist is already stale. Browser warnings and image errors were zero, maximum slice was 15.3 ms and maximum frame 5.0 ms. A sequential 18-seed audit selects ocean/bluewater-expanse next. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-333 style-locked Watchtower acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-117-r38 activates exact grasslands/hills Heroes plus one tiny sentry-shelter detail and one identity-free ground per profile. All six paintings are narrow profile-matched edits of the accepted Border Keep set with Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet supplied as immutable references. Four genuine 1.65/0.845 compositions preserve both deterministic seven-cell sites, Hero totals and geography while reducing the landmark to one narrow roofed tower, tiny lean-to and short broken windbreak in dominant continuous terrain; no keep, enclosure, platform, plate, halo, black backing or scenic cutout appears. The active family gate and provenance gate pass 3/3 with one worker, the focused gate passes 59/59 with one worker, and the raster verifier passes in one process. Exact Hero/detail/ground sources reached focused/ready, browser warnings and image errors were zero, the maximum observed slice was 18.9 ms and the maximum frame 5.2 ms. A fresh sequential 18-seed audit selects ocean/abyssal-deep next at two ocean sites. No broad suite or load test ran; the goal remains active.
Scenes-332 style-locked Border Keep acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-116-r37 activates exact grasslands/hills Heroes plus one tiny structural watch shelter and one identity-free ground per profile. All six paintings are narrow edits of trusted Monastery Hamlet production art with Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet supplied as immutable references. Four genuine 1.65/0.845 compositions preserve both deterministic 7-/8-cell sites, Hero totals and geography while keeping the squat tower and short irregular wall subordinate to continuous terrain; no castle mass, plate, halo, black backing or scenic cutout appears. The active family gate passes 3/3 with one worker, all 56 focused checks have passed across the one-worker run and targeted stale-count rerun, and the one-process raster verifier passes. Exact Hero/detail/ground sources reached focused/ready, browser warnings and image errors were zero, the maximum observed slice was 27.9 ms and the maximum frame 4.5 ms. A fresh sequential 18-seed audit selects fortification/watchtower next at grasslands and hills sites. No broad suite or load test ran; the goal remains active.
Scenes-331 style-locked Pastureland acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-115-r36 activates exact fields/tundra Heroes plus one subordinate natural detail and one identity-free ground per profile. The accepted v3 sources are minimal edits of trusted Olive Groves and Glacier Field paintings with all four immutable canonical references supplied; twelve fresh-landscape v1/v2 drafts remain rejected for scenic camera drift, oversized livestock, focal clearings and excess microdetail. Genuine 1.65/0.845 review passes all four compositions with exact focused/ready sources, zero browser warnings and zero image errors. Both deterministic sites, Hero totals and four-/five-cell topology are preserved. The 3/3 family gate, 112/112 one-worker focused gate and one-process raster verifier pass; no broad suite or load test ran. fortification/border-keep is next under the same trusted-edit/no-drift contract.
Scenes-330 style-locked Olive Groves acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-114-r35 activates one hills Hero, one subordinate natural detail and one identity-free ground companion while preserving both four-cell deterministic sites. Direct comparison against the four immutable canonical references and genuine 1.65/0.845 composed review accept a modest irregular grove following the real slope and shoreline without the legacy black-backed house, fences, orchard grid, perimeter rocks, plate, halo or oversized landmark. Exact sources reached focused/ready, browser warnings/errors and image errors were zero, the maximum observed slice was 5.5 ms, the 3/3 family gate and 83/83 focused one-worker gate pass, and the one-process raster verifier passes. A fresh sequential 18-seed audit selects farmland/pastureland next at fields and tundra sites. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-324 style-locked Fjord Coast acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-111-r32 activates one fields Hero, one natural-detail companion and one identity-free ground companion across both deterministic sites. Direct canonical comparison and live 1.65/0.845 composed review accept the low inlet as continuous olive-gold coast terrain without a tall cliff, icon, plate, halo or repeated stamp. A scoped connector-terrain contract restores the legacy 4/6-cell coastline topology across fields, wetlands and ocean while leaving Hero selection fields-only. Exact sources reached focused/ready; the maximum slice was 5.9 ms, the raster verifier passes, and the focused one-worker gate passes 77/77.
Scenes-326 style-locked Sea Caves acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-112-r33 activates exact tundra/arctic Heroes and four profile-specific natural companions while preserving the ATLAS-AT-009 six-cell and ATLAS-MF-002 four-cell topology. Direct canonical comparison and four live 1.65/0.845 compositions accept the low cave notches as terrain, with a continuous olive-rock tundra coast and a coherent arctic snow-rock peninsula whose forest edge has no rectangular snow plate. The rejected first arctic detail remains inactive. Exact sources reached focused/ready, browser warnings and image errors were zero, the maximum slice was 8.3 ms, the raster verifier passes, and the focused one-worker gate passes 77/77. A fresh sequential 18-seed audit selects desert/gravel-desert next at ATLAS-AT-006 q33/r56 and ATLAS-AT-007 q12/r68. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-322 applies the canonical style lock to Glacier Field. Manifest illustrated-places-110-r31 contains three exact 1536x1024 RGB arctic production sources. Direct source comparison, two live close/regional compositions, the 74/74 one-worker focused gate and the one-process raster verifier pass. The shallow glacier remains embedded in continuous rocky snow terrain without an ice cliff, cyan icon, hard plate or diorama edge. No broad suite or load test ran; coast/fjord-coast is the next bounded family.

Every new or repainted atlas family must satisfy docs/art-direction/atlas-v2-style-lock.json. Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet are hash-locked canonical image inputs, not optional prose inspiration. Candidates fail if camera, simplified painterly brush language, contrast, terrain hierarchy, profile identity, subject footprint or composed-map readability drift—even when dimensions, hashes, routing and raster tests pass. New style-locked prompt sets must bind all four references, retain review sources and generated originals, and pass direct source comparison plus genuine close/regional composition before production acceptance. Tests default to one worker and may never exceed two; ordinary art iteration uses one browser page/server and no load test.
Scenes-320 style-locked Active Volcano acceptance (2026-09-12): manifest illustrated-places-109-r30 activates one full-bleed mountain Hero, one natural-detail companion and one identity-free ground companion across three deterministic sites. Direct canonical comparison and live close/regional review accept the low broad volcanic massif, tiny dull vent, short heat traces and modest smoke wisp as embedded terrain—not a glowing icon, steep cone or cinematic eruption. Exact sources reached focused/ready with no image errors and a 4.6 ms maximum slice. The focused gate passes 71/71 with one worker and the raster verifier passes as one process. A fresh sequential 18-seed audit selects arctic/glacier-field next at two arctic sites. No broad suite or load test ran; the overall map goal remains active.
Scenes-318 applies this contract to Caravanserai and Oasis Town. Manifest illustrated-places-108-r29 contains nine byte-identical 1536x1024 RGB production sources across hills and tundra. Direct source comparison plus six live close/regional compositions verify modest embedded settlement scale, continuous profile terrain, exact source routing, ready caches and zero image errors. The focused gate passes 68/68 with one worker and the raster verifier passes as one process; no broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-288 Mana Spring all-profile production acceptance and wave-four completion (2026-09-10): approved mountain, grasslands and tundra Heroes plus six subordinate companions were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked nine-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r15; the approved desert v3 set remains unchanged. Five sites, four profiles, Hero totals, connector topology, labels, crop and land-mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused checks pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-active-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, focused/ready, continuous profile-native terrain and zero app-origin logs. The wave-wide suite passes 404/404 with two workers. No load test ran.
Scenes-287 Salt Desert v2 production acceptance and wave-three completion (2026-09-09): the approved modest saline-depression Hero, subordinate gypsum/brine detail and quiet desert-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r14. Five sites, desert profile, connector topology, crop and land-mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused checks pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review of independent ATLAS-AT-004 and ATLAS-AT-008 geometries at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, focused/ready, natural terrain integration and zero app-origin errors, with an 11.0 ms maximum frame. The wave-wide suite passes 401/401 with two workers. No load test ran.
Scenes-286 Mangrove Coast v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved regional-estuary Hero, subordinate root/branch detail and quiet mangrove-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r13. Four sites, forest profile, connector topology, crop and land-mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused checks pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review of independent ATLAS-AT-003 and ATLAS-AT-008 shorelines at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, focused/ready, natural integration and zero app-origin errors, with a 10.0 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-285 Volcanic Seamount v2 production acceptance and wave-two completion (2026-09-09): the approved subdued underwater-ridge Hero, subordinate low-basalt detail and quiet ocean-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r12. Site, profile, six-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused checks pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, focused/ready, broad continuous ocean, zero app-origin errors and a 7.6 ms maximum frame. The wave-wide suite passes 385/385 with two workers. No load test ran.
Scenes-284 Sargasso Drift v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved loose-weed Hero, subordinate low-rock detail and quiet ocean-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r11. Site, profile, five-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged; only stale native-size metadata was corrected to the actual 1536x1024 source. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker in 9.2 seconds, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, focused/ready, broad continuous ocean, zero app-origin warnings/errors and a 1.5 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-283 Port Town v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved modest working-hamlet Hero, subordinate three-plank landing detail and quiet grassland-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r10. Site, profile, seven-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, a ready cache, continuous muted grassland coast, zero app-origin warnings/errors and a 7.9 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-282 Ruined Oasis v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved small exhausted-oasis Hero, subordinate wall-trace detail and quiet desert-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r9. Site, profile, seven-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, a ready cache, continuous muted desert, zero browser errors and a 3.10 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-281 Temple City v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved small precinct Hero, subordinate broken-causeway detail and quiet wetlands-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r8. Site, profile, eight-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, a ready cache, continuous muted wetlands, zero browser errors and a 2.30 ms maximum frame. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-280 Giant Mushroom Wood v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved compact grove Hero, subordinate three-cap detail and quiet dryland-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r7. Site, profile, eight-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, ready caches, continuous dryland, a natural coast transition and zero browser/page errors. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-279 Dragon Bones v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved low fossil Hero, subordinate jaw/vertebra detail and quiet desert-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r6. Site, profile, seven-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, ready caches, continuous muted desert and zero browser/page errors. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-278 Buried City v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved low-foundation Hero, subordinate wall-fragment detail and quiet tundra-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path mutation in illustrated-places-106-r5. Site, profile, eight-companion topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 61/61 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, ready caches, continuous tundra, a natural coast transition and zero errors. No broad suite or load test ran.
Scenes-277 Dormant Volcano v2 production acceptance (2026-09-09): the approved low eroded-rim Hero, subordinate fractured-basalt detail and quiet mountain-ground companion were copied byte-for-byte to versioned RGB production paths and activated by the locked three-path manifest mutation in illustrated-places-106-r4. Site, profile, topology, crop and mask metadata remain unchanged. The 62/62 focused tests pass with one worker, the raster verifier passes in one process, and one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85/1.65 confirms exact sources, ready caches, continuous terrain and zero errors. This closes wave one without a broad suite or load rerun; Buried City begins wave two.
Scenes-276 automatic-review and Mana Spring desert v3 acceptance (2026-09-09): user-authorized assistant review selects all 18 queued Hero masters after exact provenance/format and art-direction checks, with 04B and 05B chosen for stronger identity. The Mana Spring desert production mutation stayed within the locked boundary: one manifest version bump, three source paths and two accurate labels; script cache keys were bumped so browser QA loaded the current tested code. The 66/66 one-worker focused set, single-process raster verifier and one-tab 0.85/1.65 composed review all pass. No load run was needed for the art-only source change.
Scenes-274 Mana Spring desert v3 mutation guard (2026-09-09): mana-spring-desert-v3-integration-readiness.json permits no current change. Once MS-D1/MS-G1 are explicitly approved, the only allowed manifest edits are one version bump, the desert Hero/detail/ground source paths, and the two companion labels; all profile routing, sites, connector recipes, terrain domain, crop rectangles and blend footprints stay locked. The 4/4 boundary test completes in 660 ms with one worker, verifies exact RGB hashes and deterministic ATLAS-AT-005 topology, and proves the future paths are inactive.
Scenes-273 Mana Spring desert companion candidates (2026-09-09): built-in ImageGen used approved Sample 01 as the style, camera, terrain and lighting reference for two new inactive full-bleed companions. MS-D1 contains only a narrow subordinate mineral-seep trace; MS-G1 contains no water or focal landmark. Both files are 1536x1024 8-bit opaque RGB with exact hashes and assistant preflight pass. A one-worker provenance/inactivity contract passes 3/3 in 97 ms. Explicit approval of both companions is required before a bounded desert-profile manifest change; the three non-desert Mana Spring Hero candidates remain pending.
Scenes-272 Walled Town acceptance reconciliation (2026-09-09): 20/20 focused global-inventory assertions and 2/2 dedicated Walled Town routing/provenance cases pass with one worker. The evidence language is now bounded consistently: six active paintings have source/provenance review, while composed browser review is claimed only for the two retained grasslands/fields scenes recorded in the receipt, both with zero browser/page errors. This checkpoint changes no runtime art and does not replace the prior full-suite, raster or load gates.
Scenes-271 read-only decision validation (2026-09-09): review:decisions enforces one legal choice per approval slot and rejects partial, duplicate, unknown or ambiguous A/B input. It produces a proposed mapping without writing the register or authorizing work. The focused contract passes 8/8 with one worker.
Scenes-270 explicit-decision register (2026-09-09): the 18-slot course-correction gate is now represented by september-8-course-correction-decisions.json. It encodes legal choices, keeps all selections and user evidence null, requires one choice per slot plus separate companion approval, and authorizes neither generation nor routing. A 5/5 one-worker contract test also proves all 20 review paths remain absent from the active manifest.
Scenes-269 review provenance enforcement (2026-09-09): each of the 20 inactive course-correction images now resolves to exactly one persisted prompt record and is checked sequentially for a 1536×1024, 8-bit opaque RGB PNG header and exact SHA-256. The 4/4 focused test uses one outer worker and one file stream at a time, completing in 205 ms. This proves queue identity and format only; it does not substitute for visual approval or authorize routing.
Scenes-268 pilot mutation guard (2026-09-09): the Dormant Volcano readiness artifact now provides a machine-readable post-approval boundary. Integration requires one manifest-version bump and permits only three source-path mutations—Hero, detail and ground—while locking all other routing and composition metadata. A 3/3 one-worker focused test verifies the inactive RGB sample hash/header, current v1 routing and retained one-site/four-connector topology. This guard authorizes no integration; explicit Hero and companion approvals remain prerequisites.
Scenes-267 reviewer runtime and browser QA (2026-09-09): npm run review:art is the resource-safe review entrypoint. Its localhost-only static server uses one process and avoids multiplayer and worker-thread startup. One genuine 319×614 in-app browser tab verified the single-image contract, native 1536×1024 loading, zero preselected decisions and empty warning/error logs; a mobile selector overflow found during that check was corrected. Focused review/resource tests pass 7/7 with one outer worker. The server and tab were stopped, and no approval or routing occurred.
Scenes-266 low-memory approval workflow (2026-09-09): the course-correction reviewer uses one full-resolution image element rather than a gallery or contact sheet, so the 20 pending files are inspected sequentially. Navigation, session-only selection state and approval-line copying are local UI conveniences only; they do not alter manifests, receipts or artwork. It exposes 18 decision slots, requires explicit A/B selection for Portal Nexus and Celestial Crater, labels 04B/05B as recommendations and preselects nothing. Static validation passes 3/3; no browser/server/load run was needed.
Scenes-265 resource hardening (2026-09-09): test concurrency is bounded at both layers. The npm suite remains capped at two Node workers, while integration asset verification now uses a two-wide mapper rather than simultaneous batches of up to 33 structural requests. The integration server remains at two simulation workers and the load gate at two concurrent handshakes. A new lightweight static guard test protects all four ceilings. Focused evidence is 1/1 integration plus 3/3 guard checks with one outer worker; no broad suite or load gate ran.
Scenes-264 identity alternatives (2026-09-09): Portal Nexus 04B and Celestial Crater 05B are preserved as additional inactive full-bleed 1536x1024 8-bit RGB choices. 04B clarifies a freestanding nexus through converging broken marker stones without glow or a platform. 05B clarifies a physical impact through an asymmetric scar, disturbed peat, ejecta traces and a small matte meteor remnant without a ringed pond or magical flare. Both pass assistant preflight; neither is user-approved or routed. The authoritative queue now contains 20 images across 18 decision slots, with 04B and 05B recommended over their cautioned A originals. Runtime remains unchanged and tests/load were not run.
Scenes-263 integration order (2026-09-08): six approval-driven waves cover all sixteen confirmed-drift families and 29 profile-specific Hero/detail/ground sets. Nineteen profile Hero masters already exist, ten profile Heroes remain to be authored, and 58 full-bleed RGB companions remain after Hero approval. The order proceeds from one-site clear-preflight pilots through repeated and multi-profile families, leaving Portal Nexus and Celestial Crater until their identity cautions are resolved. Family-focused tests run with at most two workers; broad suites run only at wave gates, and load testing is deferred to the final release gate unless performance code changes.
Scenes-262 pilot integration readiness (2026-09-08): Dormant Volcano queue ID 18 is the first proposed bounded pilot after explicit approval. The contract requires a byte-identical approved Hero v2, two newly generated and separately approved full-bleed RGB companions, a manifest revision changing only the three Dormant Volcano source paths, preserved one-site/four-companion topology, focused Node tests capped at two workers, one-process raster verification and one-server/one-tab composed review at zoom 0.85 and 1.65. No production or runtime change has occurred.
Scenes-261 assistant visual preflight (2026-09-08): direct review of all eighteen queued originals finds sixteen clear terrain-first passes and two art-direction passes with identity-readability cautions: Portal Nexus desert and Celestial Crater wetlands. Zero images are rejected for the September 5–7 camera, scale, palette or edge contract. The advisory preflight does not constitute user approval and authorizes no routing change.
Scenes-260 review package (2026-09-08): the authoritative pending-art queue is september-8-course-correction-review.md. It records eighteen stable review IDs across all sixteen confirmed-drift families, direct image/evidence links and the exact approval boundary. All queued PNG headers verify as opaque 1536x1024 8-bit RGB. No routing, companion, browser-composition or runtime approval is implied.
Scenes-259 Dormant Volcano course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 mountain sample uses the approved user-named terrain-first references. A low eroded asymmetric rim and rubble fan remain subordinate to broad continuous grey-brown and olive uplands; no eruption, perfect caldera, towering cone, cutout platform or halo is present. All sixteen confirmed September 8 drift families now have at least one correction sample. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-258 Port Town course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 grasslands/coast sample uses the four approved user-named references plus Sunken Shelf for water material. A tiny practical hamlet and short jetty remain subordinate to broad continuous olive grassland and muted inlet; no harbor diorama, market showcase, tall mast, cutout platform or halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-257 Buried City course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 tundra sample uses Frozen Tundra as its ground-material reference and the approved terrain-first contract. Low, partly exposed wall and foundation traces remain subordinate to broad continuous grey-olive tundra; no city diorama, monumental architecture, cutout platform or halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-256 Volcanic Seamount course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 ocean sample uses Sunken Shelf as the water-material reference and the approved terrain-first contract. A subdued underwater basalt ridge remains subordinate to broad continuous sea; no eruption, lava, smoke, bright cyan or cutout halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-255 Sargasso Drift course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 ocean sample uses Sunken Shelf as the water-material reference and the approved terrain-first contract. Loose broken sargassum ribbons remain subordinate to broad continuous sea; no spiral, bright gold weed, saturated teal or cutout halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-254 Ruined Oasis course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 desert sample uses the approved reference set and full-bleed terrain-first contract. A small silted oasis and low eroded ruins remain subordinate to broad continuous desert; no architectural showcase, bright water, lush vegetation or cutout halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-253 Giant Mushroom Wood course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 desert sample uses the approved reference set and full-bleed terrain-first contract. A small muted fungal grove sits in a sheltered soil pocket within broad dryland terrain; no doorway, saturated fantasy palette, glow or cutout halo is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-252 Dragon Bones course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 desert sample uses the approved reference set and full-bleed terrain-first contract. A small eroded fossil scatter remains subordinate to broad continuous desert, with no halo, platform, magic or monumental displayed skeleton. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-251 Temple City course correction (2026-09-08): one inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 wetlands sample uses the approved reference set and full-bleed terrain-first contract. A small reclaimed temple precinct occupies a subordinate portion of broad muted marsh terrain; no halo, cutout, platform or monumental city-scale focal object is present. User review and any routing change remain open.
Scenes-250 final metadata-candidate review (2026-09-08): direct inspection confirms Buried City, Port Town and Dormant Volcano use isolated dark-halo diorama/cutout compositions, completing the audit at sixteen confirmed drift families. Their earlier browser evidence proves routing and masking only. Bounded inactive correction samples and all routing changes remain open.
Scenes-249 Ruined Oasis, Sargasso Drift and Volcanic Seamount review (2026-09-08): direct inspection confirms all three one-occurrence active Heroes use isolated icon compositions—a haloed ruin tableau, a saturated weed whirl and a glowing eruption. Earlier browser evidence proves routing and masking only; bounded correction samples and any routing changes remain open.
Scenes-248 Mangrove Coast sample and one-occurrence audit (2026-09-08): an inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 sample now renders Mangrove Coast as regional tidal-creek terrain with a small mangrove pocket. Direct inspection confirms Temple City, Dragon Bones and Giant Mushroom Wood retain isolated oversized icon compositions. They await first correction samples; no routing changed.
Scenes-247 Irrigated Farms/Cursed Land samples and Mangrove Coast review (2026-09-08): inactive opaque RGB 1536x1024 samples now render hills Irrigated Farms as a small working valley and grasslands Cursed Land as a quiet exhausted soil patch, both subordinate to continuous terrain. Direct inspection confirms Mangrove Coast still uses a large glossy tree cutout with a black/olive halo. Mangrove Coast sampling, user review, remaining profiles and routing changes remain open.
Scenes-246 Salt Desert, Irrigated Farms and Cursed Land direct review (2026-09-08): all three tied five-occurrence families are confirmed drift from direct source inspection. Salt Desert shows a raised bright saline cutout, Irrigated Farms a saturated terraced game-board, and Cursed Land a dark purple monolith patch, all with halo treatment. One inactive Salt Desert sample applies the approved opaque RGB 1536x1024 full-bleed terrain-first contract with a modest flush saline depression. Irrigated Farms and Cursed Land samples remain open; no routing changed.
Scenes-245 Celestial Crater course-correction sample (2026-09-08): direct inspection confirms the active wetlands Hero is an oversized glossy isolated crater with a black halo and bright flare. One inactive wetlands sample now applies the approved opaque RGB 1536x1024 full-bleed terrain-first contract with a small reed-reclaimed impact hollow embedded in continuous muted marsh. Earlier browser evidence proves routing and masking only; user review is required before further generation or routing changes.
Scenes-244 Portal Nexus course-correction sample (2026-09-08): the active family has eight mapped occurrences and still uses September 8 transparent black-backed isolated icon art. One inactive desert sample now applies the approved opaque RGB 1536x1024 full-bleed terrain-first contract with a small weathered portal embedded in continuous muted terrain. Earlier Portal Nexus browser evidence proves routing and masking only; it is superseded for art-direction acceptance. User review is required before further generation or routing changes.
Scenes-243 Mana Spring profile review (2026-09-08): user review approved all six scenes-242 desert samples as the valid style range, with Sample 01 as the master. The September 5–7 production contract remains a full-bleed opaque terrain-first regional painting—not a cutout: fixed upright high-oblique camera, miniature landmark scale, muted profile palette, restrained contrast, fine natural ground texture and continuous material through every edge. Three new mountain, grasslands and tundra candidates satisfy that source contract and remain inactive pending visual approval; prior v1 sources remain routed. Browser composition and connector review remain open.
Scenes-240 correction checkpoint (2026-09-08): visual review found that the September 8 Sacred Oasis, Petrified Forest and Ancient Ruins first-pass prompts had shifted from the approved September 7 full-bleed terrain-plate treatment to isolated transparent subjects. Twelve v2 Hero/detail/ground plates were regenerated with actual Palm Oasis, Mixed Woodland, Broken Aqueduct, terrain-profile and public/assets/illustrated-atlas-vision.png references. All are opaque RGB 1536x1024 landscape sources with restrained brushwork, soft lighting, high aerial miniature scale and terrain-integrated edges. Regional and close browser reviews pass for the corrected families at zooms 0.85 and 1.65; the Petrified Forest cache evidence is progressive-review rather than ready-cache approval. Technical validation is 327/327 and the raster verifier passes, while remaining September 8 drift families, whole-biome review, repetition, joins, foreground FPS, catalog coverage and release remain open. This correction supersedes the older transparent-source claims in the affected family paragraphs below.
Latest isolated load rerun (2026-09-08) supersedes the older checkpoint throughput figures in historical family entries: 100/100 connected, 9 snapshots/player-second, 8829 bytes/player-second, 1 ms p95 welcome and 0.0377 ms maximum simulation tick with two concurrent handshakes.
Historical scenes-238 audit (2026-09-08): Salt Desert was the latest integrated bounded family at that checkpoint, with 108 logical modern Heroes, 138 profile-resolved Hero paintings, 276 companions, 1104 placement recipes and 105 legacy replacements. The current scenes-240 correction checkpoint above supersedes its affected transparent-source descriptions for Sacred Oasis, Petrified Forest and Ancient Ruins. This remains an active, uncommitted checkpoint; whole-biome review, joins, repetition, remaining catalog, foreground performance and release are open.
Scenes-238 Salt Desert composition follow-up: desert/salt-desert preserves five deterministic occurrences at ATLAS-AT-004 q−23/r61, ATLAS-AT-005 q103/r35, ATLAS-AT-006 q1/r28, ATLAS-AT-008 q44/r25 and CHECK-19 q83/r50, replacing their legacy sources with one compact desert Hero, one saline structural detail, quiet same-profile ground companions and 8 configured placement recipes. Built-in ImageGen source/raster checks pass with three transparent 1536x1024 PNGs, persisted prompts and exact hashes; a genuine in-app browser capture at the ATLAS-AT-004 representative site reaches a ready cache, selects the expected Hero/detail/ground sources, preserves the land domain and reports zero app-origin page errors. The close composition retains real desert terrain without a hard rectangular plate, artificial island or oversized landmark mass; broader desert/magical joins, repetition, whole-biome approval and foreground-FPS approval remain open. Evidence is recorded in salt-desert-family-receipt.json and saltDesertCompositionFollowUp in the complete-map ledger.

ATLAS-TUNDRA-010 q56/r13 and ATLAS-PINE-001 q63/r75 select the v8 Hero, v4 young-pine detail and v3 quiet-ground sources with explicit terrainDomain: land; both sessions have zero browser/page warnings or errors and native 702x577 Hero sampling. A sprite-prewarm follow-up prepares those visible native landscape windows before progressive scene-cache work: maximum scene slices are 6.2 ms in Tundra and 7.5 ms in the Pine world, while maximum frames are 4.4 ms and 11.5 ms. The mask correction prevents unmasked crops from reaching water, but broader snow/water joins, repetition and project-wide foreground performance remain open, so the family stays in local composition review and does not claim whole-biome or FPS approval. Evidence and exact source hashes remain in pine-shared-ground-receipt.json.

Target
The complete game world must read like gonzVision1.png: one authored, hand-painted fantasy atlas whose cities, forests, fields, mountains, wetlands, rivers, and coastlines share the same camera, lighting, object scale, texture grain, and atmospheric depth.
gonzvision2.png is a brushwork and geographic-density reference. It is not a universal repeat texture and must never be overlaid across unrelated biomes.
Historical audit: the older production checkpoint below is historical, not proof that the complete-map goal has passed. Follow complete-map-goal.md and its review ledger for current evidence and remaining work.
Current local audit (scenes-191, 2026-09-07): seventy-three logical illustrated Heroes are represented by ninety-two profile-resolved Hero paintings and one hundred eighty-four distinct companions; seventy of 240 legacy identities are repainted. Caravan Well is the latest strict profile-aware family, replacing the black-backed oasis island with a compact stone well, timber lifting beam, two low windbreaks and a subordinate travel bundle at the retained ATLAS-TUNDRA-010 q44/r30 site with eight connected same-profile desert companions and one protected trough detail while preserving continuous desert geometry. Caravan Well was genuinely inspected in a versioned browser session with a ready scene and empty page logs; its receipt and regression expectations agree with the current 231-test suite. Earlier family receipts retain the test and load values recorded at their own checkpoints. The 100-client load gate connects 100/100 clients at 8.9 snapshots/player/second, 8542 bytes/player/second, 33 ms p95 welcome and 0.0110 ms maximum simulation tick. Full-map aesthetic approval remains open, as do cross-family joins, catalog completion and controlled foreground performance; farmland/rice-terraces at q52/r54 in ATLAS-SOUTH-947 grasslands is next for a bounded read-only audit.
Structural cache contract (local scenes-110): preload source files once per URL, but prepare and cache the exact selected ridge mask or coastline window. Async native bitmap conversion must replace only its still-current canvas; never resurrect an evicted entry or leave a duplicate unused URL-only bitmap. Failed conversion retains native canvas rendering. Two browser comparisons reduced structural derivative pixel accounting from 86.7 to 49.6 MiB and 42.1 to 25.2 MiB, with unchanged painted sources. This does not prove lower total memory or smooth FPS: cold graphics slices of 21–24 ms remain, and source/mask preparation outside scene-build instrumentation is not covered by that timer.
Current mountain contract (local scenes-109): quiet miniature rocky upland paintings form the continuous ground; finer v4 is the main opaque source and coarser v3 is the restrained variation. Individually placed directional ridge paintings carry major peaks. Four temperate v3 ridge paintings replace mechanical saw-tooth rows with unequal crags and lower saddles. Each has an independently traced slope/contact contour and alpha-only 12-pixel feathering at native resolution. All four old ridge paintings and ground v1/v2 remain preserved. Sulfur Mine quiet spoil v2 replaces the coarse repeating connector carpet; the Hero and shed remain unchanged. The ridge/ground replacements remain in composition review; source eligibility is not full-biome approval. Forest/snow/coast joins, some coarse Hero source ground and repeated material motifs remain open.
Pine Forest contract (local scenes-112): the nine rejected scenes-108/109 experiments remain excluded. Two new open-woodland terrain sources and a separate v8 Pine Hero / v4 young edge / v3 litter companion now share a ground treatment. All are native 1254-square paintings, with inspected runtime crops and narrow alpha-only contact contours. Two Pine sites and two city surroundings show better continuity, but this is not whole-biome approval. Remaining dark structural forest/wetland overlays need the same treatment; do not hide that mismatch with wider blur or global RGB grading. Exact prompt pixel-size requests were not perfectly followed by generation, so actual source crops and composed reviews remain authoritative.
Non-negotiable rules
The scenes-105 Sulfur Mine family follows the native miniature contract with a low limestone adit and two quieter companion paintings: one protected supply shed and restrained spoil ground. Each cluster has 2–8 connected compatible cells; eight recipe choices do not mean eight distinct paintings. Its known sites are retained, but the existing modern-art selection preference can change another resource site's painting without changing geography. Two mountain-seed reviews prove these local examples, not all hills/mountain compositions. Repeated rocky terrain, forest boundaries and full catalog coverage remain open.
- Hidden hexes are simulation units, not visible art tiles.
- Regional artwork uses a shared source-pixel scale: 1254 source pixels span 10 hex widths; a 1569-pixel structural plate spans approximately 12.51. Large geographic regions require local connected sections, not enlargement of one image. The original 18–24-hex authoring brief is retained as provenance, not the current display scale.
- No background tree, boulder, bush, reed, dune, or wave may visually compete with a settlement Hero.
- Every terrain profile receives purpose-built artwork. Recoloring one neutral texture does not count as coverage.
- Adjacent regions blend through world-space masks and shared edge values; they do not crossfade rectangular source images.
- Rivers, coasts, and ridges are geographic structures that traverse regions, not bright lines drawn on top.
- Hero art is embedded in a five-to-nine-hex regional composition with matched terrain, light, contact shadow, entourage scale, and negative space.
- At continent zoom the map shows geographic masses and major landmarks. At regional zoom it reveals settlements, ridges, forests, and fields. At local zoom it reveals the full Hero and entourage detail.
Shared image contract
- Camera: high three-quarter top-down/isometric atlas view
- Light: soft upper-left sun, restrained ambient occlusion
- Medium: premium hand-painted fantasy strategy-map illustration
- Surface: full bleed for terrain/ground plates; transparent irregular contour for native-scale Hero/connector cutouts; no border, no UI, no text
- Distribution: varied but even; no obvious isolated stamp or circular clearing
- Edge behavior: compatible opposite-edge value and density; runtime masks hide repetition
- Palette: biome-specific but graded into the shared olive/umber/stone world palette
- Forbidden: hexagons, roads as bright lines, blue boundaries, photographic close-ups, giant foliage, people, labels, watermarks
Terrain coverage
Two source variations are required for each profile:
| Profile | Geographic content |
|---|---|
| Ocean | deep water, current bands, distant shoals, restrained foam |
| Lake | calmer inland water, small reed margins, subtle shallows |
| Arctic | snowfields, ice shelves, wind scoring, sparse dark rock |
| Tundra | moss plain, scrub, frost-dark pools, low stone ribs |
| Mountain | connected ridges, passes, scree, small alpine vegetation |
| Desert | dune fields, hamada, dry channels, sparse scrub |
| Forest | continuous small-scale canopy, clearings, low ridges, no giant crowns |
| Hills | long rolling contours, brush belts, exposed stone |
| Grasslands | open prairie, tiny brush clusters, grazing texture, low contouring |
| Fields | field bands, hedgerows, orchard dots, fallow patches, no buildings |
| Wetlands | braided dark water, reed beds, mud islands, fen vegetation |
Structural overlays
Structural artwork uses the same camera and light:
- Coast: rocky, beach, cliff, marsh, arctic, and desert shoreline families
- Rivers: upland stream, lowland river, braided wetland, delta, and dry-channel families
- Ridges: mountain spine, hill contour, badland, and ice-ridge families
- Hero aprons: settlement, fortification, forest, mountain, desert, wetland, water, ruin, magical, and resource families
- Ecotones: forest/field, hill/field, mountain/hill, desert/grassland, wetland/field, arctic/tundra, coast/water
Completion gates
Native Hero/companion composition contract
sampleRectselects a bounded full-resolution source window;nativeSizeis verified against the PNG. Native source-pixel scale does not by itself establish correct object proportions—inspect the composed map against the reference.- Native Heroes and companions may opt into
blendFootprint: { featherPx, points }. The closed polygon uses normalized sample-window coordinates, not full-source coordinates. It preserves the painted subject and its immediate contact terrain while exposing the continuous biome material outside it. Feathering affects alpha only, never source RGB. Validate 3–64 bounded vertices, non-degenerate area and a 1–32 native-pixel feather. Cache identity includes contour metadata; assets without a contour retain their original seeded apron. - Natural foreground companions may declare
sceneLayer: "detail". Their Hero must definesubjectRectin normalized sample-window coordinates, covering the complete focal subject, and provide a quieter non-structural companion painting for repeated links. - Quiet ground is painted below the Hero. Natural details/outbuildings use outer compatible connected cells and paint above its apron. Detailed natural paintings are alpha-masked around the protected Hero subject with a soft outer margin; source RGB, camera orientation and physical pixel scale remain unchanged.
- Choose distinct motif paintings before repetitions. Repeat quiet material, not the same distinctive natural shape, within a cluster. Recipes/crops are not distinct paintings.
- Review both single-detail and multi-connector generated layouts. Test source protection, map topology, cache bounds and unchanged geography; those checks do not substitute for visual approval of material joins.
Whole-map gates
The scenes-102 Citadel City repaint extends native landscape scale to a city identity: inspected full-resolution city and two smaller matching companions, eight connected recipe choices, crop-relative contact contours and protected outbuilding detail. The inspector uses the actual selected source and its native crop, not an uncropped nearly-empty plate or the connector's parent Hero. See citadel-family-receipt.json for six generated paintings / three active sources and complete-map-ledger.json for mountain/forest map reviews. This milestone does not close the full-map gates below.
- All 11 profiles have two approved runtime plates.
- Old connector-background artwork is absent from the production render path.
- Every Hero category uses a compatible apron and geographic selection rule.
- Screenshots from at least three seeds cover every terrain profile and structural transition.
- No visible rectangular repetition, hard alpha edge, giant background object, or long translucent Hero ghost.
- Progressive cache slices remain within the frame budget and multiplayer/load tests pass.
Historical production checkpoint (superseded by the complete-map audit)
- Both required variations approved for all 11 terrain profiles (22 of 22 terrain plates).
- Development renderer loads the atlas-v2 manifest, composes blurred continent-scale biome splats, and adds feathered regional-detail sampling.
- Old procedural connector detail is disabled whenever the complete atlas-v2 profile set is active.
- Local visual verification confirms scale-consistent trees, fields, hills, mountains, wetlands, desert, and water with no visible hex outlines in the feathered renderer.
- Material hierarchy is integrated at both continent and regional scale: each biome receives one continuous primary atlas material, while its second source appears only as a restrained local variation. Transition cells recede in opacity and footprint before a one-to-two-hex crossfade, so neither source variation nor biome boundary reads as a visible tile patch.
- The first transparent structural asset,
temperate-rocky-v1, is approved with 87.657% fully transparent pixels. The attempted lowland river was rejected because its generated checkerboard remained opaque. - A line-based river experiment was also rejected after browser QA because even smoothed paths read as blue overlays instead of terrain-carved waterways. River and road layers remain disabled until a valley/bank/delta mask treatment passes the art gate.
- The complete 32-family structural library is approved: six coast treatments, five river systems, four ridge climates, seven broad ecotones, and ten Hero aprons. Every climate family uses the same camera, world scale, light, palette discipline, and full-bleed regional composition contract; the original transparent rocky strip remains archived as a non-runtime approved experiment.
- The five river source families are approved and retained in the production library, but multi-seed runtime QA exposed their extracted water as oversized blue strokes. Both procedural and structural river rendering are therefore disabled in production until a terrain-carved treatment passes the no-blue-line art gate.
- Ridge materials now pass the runtime art gate through a bounded diagonal geographic footprint aligned to each region's principal axis. Four-side feathering and climate-aware source orientation reveal only the connected mountain spine—never the former full rectangular source plate.
- The forest/field and wetland/field ecotone source plates pass the first runtime art gate. Connected biome-boundary components now select eight sparse scenes; each plate is aligned from its dry/source biome toward its destination biome and revealed through an irregular, fully edge-faded footprint beneath ridges, rivers, and Heroes.
- Full terrain plates now use deterministic overlapping feathered stamps with irregular world-space offsets and slight rotations. This removes both the original rectangular source-image seams and the bilateral/kaleidoscopic repetition exposed by mirrored sampling, while preserving the authored geographic scale and a consistent lighting direction.
- Close zoom now crossfades a restrained half-span aperiodic microtexture from the same approved terrain painting over the macro geography. This restores native brush density around Heroes without introducing procedural filler, literal giant foliage, grid-aligned repeats, or a competing second art style.
- The regional scene cache is transparent over the live atlas base, eliminating a redundant continent upload. Structural scenes are culled against the current world-space viewport, reusable compositing buffers avoid per-task canvas churn, and no more than four atlas materials are processed per animation frame. Warm regional sweeps generally measure 1.6–6.4 ms work slices with steady interaction frames around 0.1–0.3 ms; occasional browser garbage collection is isolated to the post-movement cache build while the previous GPU layer remains visible.
- Compatible settlement, fortification, ruin, magical, resource, forest, mountain, volcanic, desert, wetland, ocean, and lake Heroes now receive authored full-bleed regional aprons through irregular fully edge-faded masks. Their connector motifs remain clustered inside organic multi-cell footprints with atlas-matched color grading; the old local ground strokes are removed, and a reduced tonal feather remains only as fallback/contact treatment. Hero scale is now semantic rather than one-size-fits-all (2.0–3.15 hexes before role modulation), connector motifs are subordinate at 0.58–0.96 relative scale, and Hero sprites use cached irregular footprint feathers instead of circular radial bases.
- Multi-scene live QA has directly passed settlement, fortification, ruin, magical, resource, mountain, desert, wetland, and ocean Hero compositions at regional/local zoom. Semantic 2.0–3.15-hex Hero scale, irregular sprite footprints, compact 7–8-connector landmark clusters, and guaranteed ocean/lake environment representation are integrated. The manifest cache policy keeps image files immutable while requiring the manifest itself to revalidate.

GONZ-HERO-WORLD,ATLAS-NORTH-031, andATLAS-SOUTH-947covers continent, regional, close-Hero, world-edge, ocean, coast, lake, wetland, forest, fields, grassland, hills, desert, mountain, tundra, and arctic views. It verifies no visible hex outlines, source rectangles, giant background foliage, blue river/road strokes, or detached circular Hero bases. Coast, ecotone, and ridge scene counts are now viewport-correct rather than whole-world draw counts. - Art and runtime gates are complete. Remaining release gates are automated regression/load tests, repository review, Git push, and Railway deployment verification.
Scenes-338 style-locked Wind-Carved Snow acceptance (2026-09-12): three exact Polar Icecap-ground edits are active through manifest illustrated-places-122-r43. The full-bleed arctic Hero, tiny sastrugi detail and identity-free ground pass direct comparison to Clay Pit, Copper Mine, Gold Vein and Monastery Hamlet plus live close/regional composition. They retain continuous cold-neutral terrain and remove the legacy black backing, cyan ice and monument-like forms. The 33/33 focused gate passes with one worker and the raster verifier passes in one process; no broad suite or load test ran. The next bounded family is city/ancient-metropolis.
